A Facelift for the AMF Website

The AMF website has had a refresh. Same address (superresolution.nl), same purpose, but with a more deliberate look and a lot of new content under the hood. If you have not visited in a while, this is a good moment to come back and have a look around.

What is new

  • Instruments, properly indexed. The Instruments page now lists every imaging system at AMF, grouped by type: confocal, single-molecule super-resolution, STED, atomic force microscopy, near-field, correlative, and custom-built. Each instrument has its own page with configuration, location, status, and how to start using it.
  • Two confocals added to the catalogue. The Nikon A1 at AMF (sharing the Ti2 body with the Abbelight SAFe-360) and the Nikon A1R HD25 hosted by the Soft Matter and Biological Physics group are both now publicly listed alongside the Nikon AX with NSPARC.
  • CLEM page rewritten. The correlative imaging entry now reflects the actual setup: Zeiss AxioImager with Linkam cryo-stage and a custom Coherent OBIS epi-illumination module, paired with the Thermo Fisher Glacios cryoTEM at CMEM.
  • Imaging SOPs hub. Quick-start protocols are now collected under Resources → Imaging SOPs, starting with the Abbelight SAFe-360 SOP and the Nikon A1 NIS-Elements MVP. More SOPs will be added as super-users contribute them.
  • Nikon Reference Site recognition. The Nikon AX with NSPARC at AMF is part of Nikon Europe’s Reference Site network, hosted at ICMS through the collaboration agreement between Nikon and TU/e. The page now highlights this.
  • Easier navigation. The Instruments and Imaging SOPs dropdowns extend out to show their contents on hover, so you can jump directly to the system you are looking for. The site also now respects your light or dark theme preference.

Browse and explore

If you are a current user, take a few minutes to read the SOP for your instrument and check the access information on its page. If you are new and considering AMF for a project, the access and working model, the super-resolution primer, and the choose a microscope guides are good starting points. External collaborators are welcome to get in touch.
