The Advanced Microscopy Facility (AMF) is one of the research infrastructures at the Institute for Complex Molecular Systems (ICMS) at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). We host advanced fluorescence, super-resolution, scanning probe and correlative microscopy for academic and industrial researchers, and we are a Nikon Reference Site through ICMS.

What we do

Advanced fluorescence and super-resolution microscopy, atomic force microscopy, nearfield optical microscopy, custom optical builds, and correlative workflows with electron microscopy. Quantitative imaging for materials, single-molecule biology, and live cells.

Instruments

Who we are

A facility-lead, lab manager, imaging scientists, and a network of instrument super-users. Our team supports both training and methodology design, from first-time users to mature collaborations.

People

Working with us

Internal TU/e users access AMF via the Access page. External and industrial collaborators engage through the ICMS Industrial Consortium and ICMS Expert Services.

Access

Resources for users

Booking, training pathway, citation text, super-resolution primer, decision tree for choosing a microscope, glossary, and reading lists. Everything a new or returning user needs in one place.

Partners and networks

We collaborate with the Center for Multiscale Electron Microscopy (CMEM) at TU/e for correlative work, with the Nederlandse Vereniging voor Microscopie (NVVM), and with EuroBioImaging through the Dutch node.

Projects

Highlights and outputs

Recent activities, publications using AMF instruments, and stories from the lab. Announcements about new instrument acquisitions and major upgrades.
